Thanksgiving Craft
Make a thankful turkey this thanksgiving with your homeschool children.
Required materials: small paper milk carton, brown paper, construction paper of various colors,
Step one: Rinse out a milk carton, cut open so that it is open on top and cover the outside with brown paper.
Step two: trace each child’s hand on the various pieces of construction paper and cut out each tracing for the tail feathers. The more “hands” the larger and more colorful the tail fathers will appear.
Step three: Use the brown paper and cut out a head and beak to add to the front of the turkey.
Step four: label the turkey body with “my thankful box” or “what I’m thankful for” or “we are thankful” whatever you wish.
Step five: children and parents can write things they are thankful for on slips of paper to place in the turkey. These can be read later at Thanksgiving dinner or another time chosen by the family.
