What is SpellQuizzer?

SpellQuizzer is a simple spelling software that parents or teachers can download onto a computer. This program does not run on a Apple computer but is compatible with several versions of Windows. Basically, SpellQuizzer allows a parent or teacher to create a spelling list, and a student to then be quizzed on the spelling list.

The software is simple to install and comes with a thorough and easy to follow help section that will allow any parent the ability to use this program. Spelling words are recorded by the program, and the student has to type the word after a prompt.

If the student misspells the word, the program provides the correct spelling and gives the student a chance to review those words again at the end of the list. There is a collection of sound effects that can be paired with a correct or incorrect answer.

The program has a built-in dictionary so that if a child were to enter the spelling list and spell a word incorrectly, it will provide a prompt to check the word. Importing and exporting lists to share with others is a simple process, and there are several lists available on the SpellQuizzer website.
