Magic Pictures

Children love making these magic pictures!

You will need:

A variety of shapes including circles, squares and triangles

tagboard

white paper

crayons

construction paper

How to make Magic Pictures:

First, use the shapes to cut out templates in the tagboard. Any shape will work, so allow the children to come up with some special shapes to cut out.

Next, remove the crayon paper from the crayons.

Place each shape under the white paper, and rub the side of the crayons on top of the paper. Watch while shapes beneath appear on top.

Trim the white paper so that the shapes take up most of the remaining space and mount the pictures on the construction paper.

To add Interest to Magic Pictures:

Use leaves instead of shapes, this is a great fall craft variation.

Use several crayon colors.

Use bulletin board letters to spell a word or someone’s name.
